What is ECOCERT certification? It is among the most well-known certifications
in the field of standardizing natural cosmetics and is highly trusted due to its rigorous testing and product evaluations.
Natural cosmetics - ECOCERT requires that min. 95% of raw materials be natural or of natural origin, min. 5% of raw materials and min 50% of plant substances must be certified organic.
Organic cosmetics - according to ECOCERT guidelines, a cosmetic should contain min. 95% natural raw materials or natural origin, min. 10% of raw materials and min 95% of plant substances must be certified organic.
For both groups of cosmetics, other criteria look the same. These cosmetics must not contain artificial fragrances, artificial colors, must not be tested on animals or contain raw materials from dead animals, raw materials must not be derived from genetically modified plants or animals, must not contain petroleum derivatives, phenoxyethanol, synthetic fats, oils, silicones, parabens, PEGs.
